L.E.A.D. Gets A Giving Tuesday Boost From Colliers Engineering

Giving Tuesday donations will be matched to create more resources for L.E.A.D. to protect children from the dangers of drugs and violence.

Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence (L.E.A.D.) is getting an extra boost this Giving Tuesday by partnering with Colliers Engineering and Design, who will match donations. The engineering company, which has a location in Tampa, Florida, will match any amount donated to L.E.A.D.

The L.E.A.D. program is taught to school age children in the Tampa area along with 40 other states by 2800 dedicated police officers. The donations from Giving Tuesday will be used to assist in L.E.A.D.’s effort to educate school children in Tampa on the dangers of drugs in their communities.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with L.E.A.D. this Giving Tuesday to raise money toward more classes and workbooks for students in the program and more training for officers teaching the program,” said Kevin Haney, CEO of Colliers Engineering and Design. “Any donation will be matched, and every bit helps as we support L.E.A.D.’s mission to educate children in the Tampa area and across the U.S. on the risks of drugs and violence. We are happy to be part of this effort to increase the impact of contributions being made to this wonderful organization that helps create safer, healthier communities.”

Supported by dedicated police officers and school resource officers, L.E.A.D. provides leadership and resources so law enforcement agencies can partner with educators, community leaders and families with the only proven effective anti–drug, anti–violence curriculum for students K-12. Over the course of the 10-week program, officers and educators teach the L.E.A.D. curriculum to educate our youth on how they can make smart decisions without the involvement of drugs.

A few different donations can be made to L.E.A.D. throughout November:

Care Package ($10): Selecting this will guide five kids toward a safer and healthier future.

Training Package ($25): Selecting this will provide a new training for officers.

Class Package ($50): Selecting this will give L.E.A.D. workbooks to an entire class.

Grade Package ($100): Selecting this will provide three grade levels with L.E.A.D. workbooks.
