L.E.A.D. Clothing Recycling Bins

A great way to support your local L.E.A.D. program and help the planet.

For each L.E.A.D. Clothing Recycling Bin placed in your town, we will place $350 per bin per year in your L.E.A.D. account. These credits can be used for L.E.A.D. gear, workbooks, training, supplies, and attendance at the L.E.A.D. Conference. This is a quick and easy way to fund your local L.E.A.D. program.

Remember, you are also helping the environment; this is a great way to get schools involved!

  • More than 15 million tons of used textile waste is generated annually in the United States.
  • Clothing and textiles are nearly 100 percent recyclable.
  • Despite that fact, nearly 85% of it ends up in landfills.
  • Recycling clothing and textiles decreases the use of natural resources, such as water used in growing crops and petroleum used in creating new clothing and textiles.
  • It also decreases the need for chemicals used in manufacturing new textiles and the pollution caused by the manufacturing process.

In short, this is a great way to keep our communities green while also helping fund your local L.E.A.D. program. We feel strongly that L.E.A.D. Clothing Recycling Bins is a great way to keep your town green while helping fund your local L.E.A.D. program.
