L.E.A.D. Executive Director on the Joe Piscopo Show

On Tuesday, January 4th, L.E.A.D Executive Director Nick DeMauro was a featured guest on the Joe Piscopo Show to discuss the Super Bowl Gala and Annual Conference.

Joe highlighted L.E.A.D.’s upcoming 7th Annual 21st Century Drug and Violence Prevention Training Conference this March in Atlantic City. The conference will be taking place at Harrah’s Resort from March 20th – March 22nd, 2022. The conference will feature a variety of entertainment throughout the three day event, including the Joe Piscopo show live on Monday and Tuesday.

This year conference’s key note speaker will be Michelle Gay from Safe and Sound Schools. Mother, educator, and co-founder of Safe and Sound Schools, Michele Gay chose to take action after losing her daughter Josephine Grace on December 14, 2012. Since that time, Michele has channeled her work as an advocate, improving safety and security in schools and communities across our country.

Nick and Joe discussed L.E.A.D’s initiatives on becoming an international organization, last year’s conference, L.E.A.D.’s missions, and the upcoming Super Bowl Gala.

On February 13th, L.E.A.D. will be hosting their Gala during the Super Bowl at the coaches club in MetLife Stadium. Guests will be able to meet former NFL players, walk the field, and partake in various events, including a field goal kicking contest. The event will honor the CEO of St. Joseph’s Health, Kevin J. Slavin.

L.E.A.D. plans to launch a digital threat assessment initiative with Safer Schools Together later this year.
